“It seems like a dream come true that a club of Manchester United’s stature has trust in me to carry on their winning tradition. Already, I have a strong sense of belonging in this location “said Garcia, who made her international debut with Spain in 2018 and has scored nine goals in a total of 36 matches for the national team.
“The club has a wonderful family-oriented vibe going on, and that’s the kind of place that brings out the best in me. I’m going to leave all I have out on the pitch in the hopes of making our supporters pleased and scoring a few goals for us as well.”
Garcia was a member of the Spain team that competed in the Women’s Euro 2022 and advanced all the way to the quarterfinals before being eliminated by England in extra time.
The next season for United will begin on September 11 with a road match against Spurs, who finished fourth in the WSL the previous season.
